What Deary is
Deary provides private text conversation prompts for two people in a couple. It is not therapy, medical care, crisis support, relationship advice, or a promise of any relationship outcome. You must be at least 18 to create an account.
Your account and conduct
You control what you choose to write. Do not use Deary to threaten, harass, exploit, break the law or violate another person's rights. Do not try to access another couple, misuse invitations, interfere with the service or evade its security.
Each person controls their own account. Either partner may disconnect. Account deletion removes that person's stored answers as described in the Privacy Notice.
Trials and purchases
New questions require an active trial, subscription or lifetime purchase. Eligible monthly and annual subscriptions include a three-day free trial with full access for both partners, including daily questions and Explore. The trial starts when Apple confirms the subscription. It lasts three days, regardless of how many questions you complete or when your partner joins. It renews at the displayed price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the trial ends. Previously revealed memories remain readable when access ends.
Where we have your verified email, we send a trial confirmation and reminder. We schedule reminders 48 hours before the trial's scheduled renewal, with an app notification if enabled. Delivery can be delayed or blocked by your email or notification settings. You can always check and cancel your subscription in App Store settings.
Deary Monthly renews every month and Deary Annual renews every year unless cancelled. Deary Lifetime is a one-time, non-consumable purchase and does not renew. The App Store displays and charges the confirmed local price before purchase. UK and US launch prices are £4.99/$4.99 monthly, £29.99/$29.99 annually and £59.99/$59.99 lifetime. Lifetime has no free trial. Prices in EU and other available storefronts are set and shown by Apple.
One verified subscription or lifetime purchase unlocks the connected couple. Either person may purchase or restore, and Deary is designed to prevent a second in-app purchase while a shared entitlement is active. We never identify or shame a partner for not buying.
Payment is charged to the purchaser's Apple Account. Apple manages purchase, renewal, cancellation and refund routes under its rules. You can manage or cancel a subscription in Apple Account subscription settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period and does not delete existing timeline entries. Refund requests are handled by Apple where applicable, without limiting statutory rights.
What “lifetime” means
Lifetime means paid Deary access without a recurring fee for as long as Kreyd Labs Ltd operates the Deary service. It does not promise that every future feature or separate product will be included.
Apple's terms
Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. If these terms conflict with Apple's agreement, the terms that give you greater mandatory consumer protection apply.
Availability and changes
We may maintain, secure, update or change Deary. We may suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect people, the service or the law. If we permanently discontinue the service, we will give reasonable notice where practicable and preserve a reasonable opportunity to export your data. Previously revealed memories remain readable after subscription cancellation, but server-backed access cannot be guaranteed after permanent service closure.
Responsibility and consumer rights
Nothing in these terms removes rights that cannot legally be excluded. Deary is provided with reasonable care and skill. To the fullest extent the law permits, Kreyd Labs Ltd is not responsible for indirect or unforeseeable loss, relationship decisions, user-written content, or loss caused by misuse, an unsupported device, or a service outside our reasonable control.
Nothing excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that law does not allow us to exclude.
Law and resolving concerns
If you are a consumer, these terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, but you keep any mandatory protections provided by the law where you live. Courts available to you under mandatory consumer law remain available. Please contact support first so we can try to resolve a concern informally; this does not limit a legal deadline or right.
We may end an account for a serious or repeated breach of these terms, unlawful use, or a material security threat. Where reasonably possible, we will explain the reason and allow an appeal. You may stop using Deary, disconnect, or delete your account at any time.
